OBITUARIES
KADERA ADELINE T. SVOBODA KADERA, 78, of 1909 Mallory st. S.W., died Saturday (May 2, 1992) in her home after a sudden illness. Services: 10 a.m. Wed- nesday, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Brosch Chapel, where the family will recite a rosary at 8. Surviving are two daughters, Angeline Arnold of Newhall and Eileen Hupp of Cedar Rapids; a son, Steven (Charles) of Bel Air, Md.; and a sister, Francis Miller of Walford. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Adeline was born on June 4, 1913 in rural Walford to Andrew and Frances Jandik Svoboda. She married Charles J. Kadera on June 19, 1935, in Walford; he died in 1986. Adeline was a homemaker and a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and Legion of Mary. The Rev. Harry Koelker will officiate. A memorial fund has been established. BLANCHE KADERA LANGER Blanche KADERA Langer, 91, a resident of Heritage Acres Care Center, died Saturday in Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Brosh Chapel, where a wake service begins at 7 p.m. Survivors include a son, Arnold E. and his wife Vlasta of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Tracy Pavlis of Cedar Rapids; four grandsons, Ed, Greg, Alan and John; three great-granddaughters; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Blanche was born June 18, 1901, in Oxford, the daughter of Frank and Anna Jindrich Kadera. She married Edward H. Langer on April 24, 1929, in Oxford. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on Jan. 5, 1991; and a brother, Elmer Kadera. The Rev. Harry Koelker will officiate. ---The Cedar Rapids Gazette-- (November 9, 1992)
TRACY M. KADERA PAVLIS 96
of 3230 Ravenwood Terr. NW, died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in Mercy
Medical Center after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, St. Wences-
laus Catholic Church. Burial:
Czech National Cemetery. The Rev. Karl Glovik will officiate.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brosh Chapel, where
a rosary begins at 7 p.m.
Survivors include
a daughter, Evelyn Bervid of Cedar Rapids; a son, Alvin Pavlis and wife
Donna of Fairfax; three grandchildren, Joe Bervid and wife Tally, Terry
Pavlis and wife Jeanette and Rick Pavlis and wife Jara; three step-grandchildren,
Marsha, Brandy and Katie; and four great grandchildren, Kelley, Erin, Lexi
and Madie Pavlis.
Tracy was born
at Oxford, Iowa, on Feb. 3, 1903, to Frank and Anna Jindrich Kadera.
She married Joseph Pavlis on June 9, 1926, in Cedar Rapids. He died
in 1986. She was an 80 year member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
Tracy lived with her daughter, Evelyn, for 5 1/2 years.
She was preceded
in death by her parents; a sister, Mrs. Ed Langer, and a brother, Elmer
J. Kadera.
A memorial fund

DONALD J. KADERA, 52, of
Menomonee Falls, Wis., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died July 21, 2001.
Funeral: 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2001, from Schmidt & Bartlet,
A.A. Schmidt & Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, Menomonee Falls,
to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, N74 W13604 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls
to celebrate a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial: Sunnyside
Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service
at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was beloved
husband of Mary Lou; loving father of Erin (Jeffery) Faust; Davidand Kathryn;
dear son of Edward and Betty Kadera; dear brother of David (Karolyn), Barb
(Dale) Bates, Steven (Marrilyn), Michael (Rose) and Tim Kadera; dear son-in-law
of Raymond and Lois Rea; and beloved "master of Sasha and "buddy" of Bear.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Don served with
the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and worked in many areas for the
Wisconsin Electric Co. for 32 years.
Memorials to
St. Judes Children's Research Hospital appreciated.

The Last Will of Simon KADERA March 16, 1909
Oxford, Iowa March 16, 1909
I, Simon Kadera, hereby make
this my last Will and Testament. I give to my wife Rosa the old Homestead
being the E 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of Section 36, Township 81, Range 8, and
the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 1, Township 80, Range 8 West of the
5th P.M.
The balance of my property
is to be divided as follows: My sons are to have share and share
alike and my daughters are to share and share alike, but each of my daughters
is to have 2/3 as my sons-that is to say for every $3.00 each of my sons
receive each of my daughters is to receive $2.00.
My son Fred is to have only
one third of the share set aside for him and the balance is to go to his
heirs.
My daughters Mary is to have
only one third of her share and the balance is to go to her heirs.
My sons Frank and Fred owe
me $1,000 each which is to be paid to my estate and my sons Charles and
Joseph each owe me $325 which is to be paid to my estate. My daughters
Mary, Albena and Agnes each owe me $225.00 which is to be paid to my estate.
I hereby appoint Albert Kadera
my executor. My real estate is not to be sold or divided until 3
years after my death.

by us as witnesses, at his request and in his presence and in the presenece
of each other.
