To all People to whom these presents shall come or may in any wise concern, I Clark Lawrence Esquire Sheriff of the county of Delaware; Do Send Greeting _ Whereas by virtue of a writ of testatum Ficri Facias Residium. I bowed out of the supreme Court of Judicature of the people of the state of New York and to me directed and Delivered tested at Albany the thirteenth day of October in the twenty seventh year of our Independence of the People of the said State Returnable at the city hall of the city of Albany Before the Justice of our said Court on the third Tuesday of January then next, I was command that of the Goods and Chattles of Henry Blatner in my Bailwick I should cause to be made a certain Residue of Debt and damages of two hundred Seventy five Pounds fifteen Shillings and ten pence which Abraham Bachman had lately in our said Court Recovered against the said Henry Blatner for his debt and damages about his suit Suspended and if Sufficient Goods and Chattle, of the said Henry Blatner cou'd not be found in my Bailiwick; I was commanded that of the lands and tennements of the said Henry Blatner in my Bailiwick whereof he was seized on the sixteenth Day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven or at anytime afterwards in whose hands soever the same might be, I shou'd cause the said Residue of Debt and Damages to be made and of which it was considered by the said Court that Catharine Bachman Executrix and George Mannel and Jacob F Miller Executors of the said Abraham Bachman now deceased shou'd have Execution; and whereas sufficient goods and Chattles of the said Henry Blatner in my Bailiwick whereof to make the said Residue of Debt and Damages aforesaid could not be found__ And whereas pursuant to the command and direction of said writ I did at the town of Delhi in said county of Delaware and within my Bailiwick on the Sixteenth day of April one thousand Eight hundred and three the same having been previously advertised according to the force form and effect of the statute in such care made and provided put up for Publick Auction or Vendue to the highest bidder All that certain Tract of Land situate lying and being in the town of Delhi in the County of Delaware (and known and Distinguished) Being Part of Great lot No. 10 in Whitesborough patten Beginning at the Northeast corner at a small Birch tree standing near the Delaware River marked on the North side G.F. and on the south side A.E. thence north 31 degrees ninety seven Chains to a small Hemlock marked on the northside G.F. and on the southside A.E. thence south 60 degrees west twenty one and half Chains to a Beach Saplin A.E. thence south 31 degrees East to the Delaware River one hundred and four Chains thence up the River to the place of Beginning containing two hundred and fifteen acres being the same lot which the said Henry Blatner conveyed to Adam Emrich now professed and occupied by William Reside; whereof the said Henry Blatner was seized on the said sixteenth day of April aforesaid or some time since Together with its appurtenances And I the said Clark Lawrence Did then and there strike off and sell the said farm or lot of land with its appurtenances he being then and there the highest Bidder that could be found for the same for the sum of five Dollars lawful money of the state of New York Now therefore Know Ye that I Clark Lawrence Sheriff aforesaid for and in Consideration of said sum of five Dollars Received to my full satisfaction of said William Reside the Receipt whereof is hereby confessed and Acknowledged have granted bargained sold Released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell release and confirm unto him the said William Reside his Heirs and assignes forever all and Singular right title interest Claim and Demand which the said Henry Blatner had or of Right could have of in and to the said farm or lot of Land with the appurtenances on the said Sixteenth day of April one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven or at any time since till said Sixteenth day of April one thousand eight hundred and three Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the same with the appurtenances to him the said William Reside his heirs and assigns forever to and for their sole and only proper use and behoof in fee simple for ever - In Testimony of which I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal at Delaware County aforesaid this twenty fifth day of April one thousand Eight hundred and three

February 15, 1856
This Indenture made the fifteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six between Joseph Baker and Henrietta his wife of the town of Andes in the county of Delaware and state of New York in the first part and Frances C. Reside and Jeremiah Reside of the town, county, state aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America to them in hand paid by the said parties of the second part at or before the unsealing and delivery of these presence, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Having granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, conveyed, and confirmed and by these presence does grant, bargain, sell, aliened, remise, release, convey, and confirm unto the said parties of the second part and to their heirs and assign forever all that certain piece or parcel of land situated in the said town of Andes and Known and distinguished in a survey made by Noah Dimmick in July 1847 as lot number (14) fourteen in Great lot (9) nine Hardenburgh patent and described as follows: Commencing at a stake and Stone, standing a little South of a beach tree being northeast corner of lot number 13 and north west corner of lot number 14 thence South thirty five degrees forty five minutes. West seventy eight chains to a stake and stones standing near a large spring being southwest corner of lot number 14. thence north fifty two degrees forty five minutes east twenty chains seventy five links as the magnetic needle pointed in 1776 this course runs into lot 15 to a stake and stones east of a ledge of rocks thence north thirty five degrees forty five minuets east seventy eight chains through lot 15 to a stake and stones thence south fifty four degrees fifteen minutes west twenty two chains seventy five links to the place of beginning containing one hundred seventy seven acres, one rood thirty two rods of land be the same more or less. Subject nevertheless to an Indenture of Mortgage bearing date December first 1854 executed by the parties of the first part to these presents to Richard Carpenter of Middletown County + State aforesaid for six hundred dollars recorded in Delaware County Clerks Office 15th day of December 1854 in Book no. 23 of Mortgages on pages 413 + 414 together with all and singular the tenements enter here ditanents and
appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise affectaining and the revision and revisions, remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And also all the estate, right, title interest, ????, property,
possessions claim and demand whatsoever as well in law as in equity of the said party of the first par of, in or to the above described
premises and every part ant parcel thereof with the appurtenances To have and to hold all and singular the above mentioned and described
premises together with the appurtenances unto the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns forever And the said parties of the first part and their heirs the said
premesis in the quiet and peacable possession of the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns against the said parties of the first part their heirs and against all and every person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same Except being subject to the Mortgage hereuntofore described shall and will ???? and by these presents forever defend . In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

This Indenture, Made this seventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty three Between Jeremiah R. Reside and Sarah E. his wife of the town of Andes in the County of Delaware and state of New York of the first part and Frances C. Reside of the town County and State aforesaid of the second part. Reside by Joseph Baker and wife on the fifteenth day of February 1856, the amount being six hundred Dollars together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appurtaining and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof and all the estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsoever, of the said party of the first part, either in law or equity of in and to the above bargained premises, with the said hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said described premises to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, to the sale and only proper benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. In Witness Whereof the parties of the first part has hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

OBITUARIES
FRANK C. RESIDE-- Frank C. Reside, 78, a resident of Waterloo since 1911, died at his home, 2304 Falls Ave. at 7:30 a.m. Monday, following an extended illness. Death was due to carcinoma. Born March 15, 1867, at Shavertown, N.Y., the son of Jerry and Sarah Barnhart Reside, he came to Iowa in December 1876, settling on a farm near Anamosa. He lived there until January, 1911,when he moved to Waterloo. He was married to Anna Sievers at Anamosa Oct. 1, 1901. Surviving are his wife; two sons, C.D. Reside of Anamosa, K.C. Reside of Waukon, Ia.; four daughters, Mrs. Esther Hansen Jersey City, N.J.; Mrs. Fern Clements, 2236 Falls avenue, Mrs. Jennie Norton and Miss Frances Reside, both at home. There is also a sister, Mrs. Carrie Jamison, Anamosa, Ia.; five grand children and one great grand child. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Bros. funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
JAMISON SERVICES HELD FOR CARRIE B. JAMISON Carrie B. Reside was born in Delaware County, New York on July 4, 1863 and passed away at her home May 5, 1950 at the age of 86 years, 10 months. She came to Iowa in early childhood with her parents, the late Jerry R. and Sarah B. Reside and grew to young womanhood in their home near Newport. She attended the Newport district school and the Anamosa Public School, fitting herself for a teacher which profession she followed for several years. On February 28, 1888 she married Frank V. Jamison, who preceded her in death 12 years ago. To this union one son was born, Harry L., who resides on the home farm and has cared for his mother the past 12 years. She is survived by her son and wife, five grandchildren, the great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. How blessed it is to grow old To sit near the pearly gate Wishing for them to be opened But willing with patience to wait Knowing that safely garnered Are all the sheaves of the years That ahead are the glad reunions And behind are the sorrow and tears. ---The Anamosa Eureka--

Mary Ann JAMISON, 77, died Friday, January 15, 1999, in Mercy Medical
Center, Cedar Rapids, following a sudden illness. Services: 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, by the Rev. William Harnish.
Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the
Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, and at the chapel
after noon on Tuesday.
Survivors include
her husband, Marion; a son, Larry of Iowa City; a daughter, Anita
Jamison of Fort Worth, Texas; and a granddaughter, Jessica Jamison.
She was born
April 20, 1921, in rural Marion, to Charles and Blanche Fetterman Lehr,
and was married to Marion Jamison on August 24, 1940, in Lisbon.
She loved to
go camping with her husband and enjoyed crocheting and doing ceramic work.
She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
A memorial fund has been established.
